BUSHPARTY ROCK LAND

BUSHPARTY COVER OF THE MONTH

Painting by Barry Thorpe
It's hard to beat Samson's 1982 Polydor release 'Before The Storm'. A grimacing long-haired warrior emerges from the sea in bloody rags. Does he know a giant unslain snake-like sea monster surfs a forty foot tsunami behind him? Is he taking a brief respite from the battle? Posing for posterity's sake before returning to the task at hand? And what about the giant ufo towers in the background? And the free poster is a blow up of all this goodness! Strange fact - Ian Gibbons of The Kinks plays on this. The guy on the right isn't Ian Gibbons. It's Samson's lead singer - Nicky Moore.

Songs that have been banned on certain radio stations since terrorist attacks on NYC and Washington (for real!):
Roberta Flack: Killing Me Softly
Carole King: I Feel The Earth Move (Under My Feet)
Leonard Cohen: First We Take Manhattan
Geri Halliwell: It's Raining Men
Louis Armstrong: It's A Wonderful World
